The Good Things

This June has been the start of many new things.

I’m a big fan of new things, usually after I’m tired of the old things. But sometimes the new things come as a complete surprise.

I’ve had a lot of free time this month, and I had originally planned to spend it playing guitar and violin, exercising, cleaning, and cooking up a storm. Somehow, despite all this theoretical extra time, I’ve failed at actually doing what I planned to do.

And ya know what? That’s okay. Sure, those things are all good things, but I’ve found other good things. Good things that make life beautiful. Good things that remind me daily why I love life and the blessings that God showers on me.

I found this today…

Its Between You and God

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone may destroy overnight.
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, others may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you have anyway.
Why?
Because in the final analysis, all of this is between you and God….
It was never between you and them anyway. –Mother Theresa

Fresh Starts

Its been a long time since I’ve written on this blog. I wanted to, I just didn’t know what to say.

I had a very rainy May, filled with quite a few heart challenges, and many joys sprinkled in between. I did alot of chopping and a lot of working through crazy emotions. I'm okay. God is mightily helpful.

June dawned bright with sunlight and hope and the opportunities for many new adventures. I love summer. I love sun. I love green and every bright colour that awakens for the warm weather.

I’m still utterly fascinated by 1800’s French art, mainly impressionist. My favorites are still Renoir and Bouguereau, but I have earned (and still learning) that there are SO many incredible artists and beautiful works of art.

Here are some beautiful works of art by Renoir for you to peruse:
